Mac McCutcheon

Mac McCutcheon was first elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2006, and in August 2016 was elected as Speaker of the State House. During his time in the legislature, Speaker McCutcheon served on the Permanent Joint Legislative Advisory Committee on Economic Incentives, the Limestone County Legislative committee, Madison County Legislative committee, the Transportation committee, and as the chairman of the Rules Committee. Prior to being elected to represent District 25, Speaker McCutcheon served in the United States Army and was the Zoning Coordinator for the city of Huntsville. McCutcheon received his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Trinity University and went on to become a police officer for the Huntsville Police Department and the City of Huntsville Municipal Court System.
