Sen. Bobby Singleton
Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton was first elected on January 25th, 2005, to serve the 24th Senate district. Before joining the Senate, he served for one term as a State Representative. Senator Singleton has a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University and a Juris Doctor from Miles College. He is a consultant by profession. Senator Singleton serves on several committees including Banking and Insurance, Judiciary, and Finance Taxation Education. He also serves as the ranking minority member of both the Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry and the Finance & Taxation General Fund committees. Senator Singleton is the former chairman of the Alabama Legislative Black Caucus as well as Minority Whip of the Democratic Caucus. Singleton is a member of Greenleaf Missionary Baptist Church in Greensboro, and he is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
